S Serving and Creating: Community Service Programs in Sungai Tabuk Keramat Village Mengabdi dan Berkarya: Kegiatan Kuliah Kerja Nyata di Desa Sungai Tabuk Keramat

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education that focuses on community service. The 2025 KKN activity of the Nahdlatul Ulama University of South Kalimantan which was carried out in Sungai Tabuk Keramat Village aims to help the community in dealing with the impact of ongoing flooding. The programs implemented include distributing trash bins, tutoring children, craft classes, educational socialization, mutual cooperation, and data collection and distribution of assistance for affected residents. This activity uses a participatory approach, starting with observation, interviews, and filling out questionnaires by residents to explore the real needs of the community. The results of the activity show an increase in public awareness of the importance of environmental cleanliness, children’s education, and social cooperation. The main obstacle faced is limited access due to flooding, but it can be overcome through coordination with village officials and active involvement of residents. This activity not only has a direct impact on the community, but also provides meaningful learning experiences for students in dealing with real social challenges. It is hoped that this KKN activity can provide a sustainable contribution to the community and become a model for effective community service practices in disaster-prone areas.
