However, several rural areas in Indonesia still lack adequate electricity access, including five villages in Sungai Boh District, Malinau Regency, North Kalimantan Province. This study aims to analyze community electricity demand and evaluate the adequacy of the planned Diesel Power Plant (PLTD) capacity as the main power supply. A quantitative approach was employed by calculating electricity demand based on the number of buildings and assumed loads for households, small businesses, and public facilities. The total demand was increased by a 30% reserve margin to ensure system reliability. The results indicate that the total electricity demand of the five villages is 246.91 kW, increasing to 320.99 kW after adding reserve capacity. Therefore, a 400 kW PLTD capacity is sufficient to meet community electricity needs. This study can serve as a reference for rural electrification planning in remote areas.
Muhammad Afdhal; Dedi Nugroho Copyright (c) 2026 Nusantara Journal of Science and Technology https://ejurnal.unukase.ac.id/index.php/nujst/article/view/248 Sat, 30 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Risk Analysis of Chili Pepper Farming Production in Mantewe District, Tanah Bumbu Regency https://ejurnal.unukase.ac.id/index.php/nujst/article/view/245
Innovation in cultivation systems, one of which is through the transition from the Transplanting System (TAPIN) to a more efficient method, namely the Direct Seed Sowing System (TABELA). The purpose of this study is to analyze the costs, income and differences in income of rice farmers using the Transplanting System (TAPIN) and Direct Seed Sowing (TABELA) in Kusan Tengah District. The data used are primary data obtained from rice farmers using the TAPIN and TABELA systems through interviews. Data analysis uses an approach to calculating production costs, revenue, income and the t-test (independent-samples t-test). The results of the study showed that the total costs incurred by farmers in rice farming using the TAPIN system were Rp. 29,855,442/farm or Rp. 14,399,731/ha, with the income obtained by farmers amounting to Rp. 41,879,333/farm or Rp. 20,199,035/ha and farmer income amounting to Rp. 34,516,933/farm or Rp. 16,648,039/ha, while the total costs incurred by rice farmers using the TABELA system were Rp. 30,804,766/farm or Rp. 11,939,839/ha, with the income obtained by farmers amounting to Rp. 50,676,667/farm or Rp. 19,642,119/ha and farmer income amounting to Rp. 41,267,789/farm or Rp. 15,995,267/ha. Based on the results of the t-test (independent-samples t-test), there is no difference in income between rice farmers using the Transplanting System (TAPIN) and Direct Seed Planting (TABELA) in Kusan Tengah District.
Maulida Murdayanti; Sarbaini, Almaisarah; Hilma Nur Fauziah; Adam Maulana, Ria Anita Pertiwi Copyright (c) 2026 Nusantara Journal of Science and Technology https://ejurnal.unukase.ac.id/index.php/nujst/article/view/245 Sat, 30 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Optimization of Computer Network Topology Using Cisco Packet Tracer Simulation with Quality of Service Method in Gang Rumbia Boarding House https://ejurnal.unukase.ac.id/index.php/nujst/article/view/249
His study aims to improve the efficiency of computer network topology in the Gang Rumbia boarding
house, JL. A. Yani KM. 13.500, Gambut Subdistrict, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The main
issues include slow internet connection, inefficient IP management, and the increasing number of
connected devices. The method used is simulation with Cisco Packet Tracer and the application of
Quality of Service (QoS) to analyze the performance of two topologies, namely star and hybrid.
Measured parameters include throughput, delay, packet loss, and jitter using experimental and
descriptive approaches. The results show that the star topology excels in throughput, while the hybrid
topology provides more stable performance in terms of delay and jitter, with zero packet loss for both.
Therefore, the hybrid topology is recommended for real-time applications such as video conferencing,
while the star topology is better suited for large data transfers. This research provides practical
recommendations for designing efficient networks in boarding houses or similar densely populated
environments.
Sunni Risdayati; Muhammad Fajrian Noor, Muhammad Roy Mafulloh, Sofyar, Eriza Islakul Ulmi Copyright (c) 2026 Nusantara Journal of Science and Technology https://ejurnal.unukase.ac.id/index.php/nujst/article/view/249 Tue, 30 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Role of Retrofitting in Strengthening Place Attachment and Pro-Environmental Behavior: A Case Study of Kampung Biru, Banjarmasin https://ejurnal.unukase.ac.id/index.php/nujst/article/view/217
This study examines the impact of retrofitting on place attachment and pro-environmental behavior (PEB) among residents of Kampung Biru, a riverside settlement in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. Retrofitting initiatives in this area included infrastructure improvements, such as waste management, pedestrian pathways, and sanitation facilities, aiming to enhance sustainability and quality of life. The findings reveal that retrofitting significantly strengthens place attachment, particularly in the dimension of place dependence, as residents increasingly rely on upgraded facilities. Additionally, retrofitting promotes low-effort PEB, such as waste segregation and energy conservation, by improving the physical environment. However, its role as a moderating variable between place attachment and PEB was statistically insignificant, suggesting that the scope of retrofitting projects and community perception may limit its broader influence. The study highlights the importance of integrating physical, social, and emotional aspects in urban sustainability strategies, providing insights for future retrofitting policies and sustainable development programs.
Nur Ad’ha Yuda Copyright (c) 2026 Nusantara Journal of Science and Technology https://ejurnal.unukase.ac.id/index.php/nujst/article/view/217 Fri, 26 Jun 2026 00:00:00 +0000
